Norwegian Graduate School in Mathematics Education
 


University of Agder (UiA) together with the partners University of Stavanger and University Colleges of Bergen and Sør-Trøndelag are in the process of establishing a Norwegian Graduate School in Mathematics Education.

Supervisor seminars - education new and support development of supervision capacity and quality

Workshops for supervisors and students - focus on practical or theoretical research issues - develop competence in a specified area of mathematics education research.

Summer schools (normally one week in the summer each year) for students, and will include leading international researchers/supervisors as well as a (small) number of experienced supervisors from the School. Students will present their work

International reference group (IRG): leading scholars who will support the ongoing work of the School through advice and critical appraisal of the School's activities. Regular visits.

Shared/joint courses and travel stipends: Students can attend courses in various places. Try to aviod duplicate courses. Travel grants for students and tutors.

Mobility stipends: will allow doctoral students to spend an extended period of time (ca. 1-2 months) at an international centre of excellence that specialises in the area of the student's research. Supervisor mobility for 1 -2 weeks

Extensions to post-doctoral stipends will enable the stipend holder to develop supervision competencies as well as to contribute to the activities of the School.
