What is the project about? Teaching Better Mathematics is a title with two aims: teaching (better mathematics) means that we aim to develop better understandings of, and competency in mathematics for pupils in schools; teaching better (mathematics) means that we will explore better teaching methods and approaches to achieve the first aim. Didacticians and teachers will research together to achieve these aims with research that is both developmental and scientific. See the descriptions of the different projects for further details. Work on publications are still ongoing. UiA is leading the consortium, with Anne Berit Fuglestad as project leader. Barbara Jaworski was the first project leader, (2006 - 07).
